The Blue Plantation Band
The Blue Plantation Band is a versatile acoustic string group offering a blend of Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Rock, and 80s tunes. With over two decades of experience, they specialize in weddings, private parties, corporate events, festivals and more. Featuring four skilled musicians, they bring a unique sound to South Carolina’s music scene, promising a memorable performance for any occasion.
Aaron Gdovicak
Aaron has been immersed in music for 35 years, beginning with trombone in middle school and guitar in junior high. College jazz guitar classes shifted his style, and he later added mandolin and banjo. For over two decades, he’s been a key member of the Blue Plantation Band also teaches guitar on his YouTube channel and Patreon Page.
Bobby Napier
Bobby began playing violin at the age 10. After studying orchestral music through school, he pursued a scholarship at the University of Texas transitioning to jazz guitar. Joining Tommy Overstreet’s band in 1979 launched his career in Nashville which lead to performances worldwide with various bands including Tammy Wynette, Sammy Kershaw, The Carolina Opry, and Northfolk Southern Lawman. He currently plays with The Blue Plantation Band and various other groups.
Jeff Narkiewicz
Jeff has been playing for music 37 years, starting on trumpet and then guitar. He picked up the electric bass in college and eventually gravitated toward the upright. He currently plays with Blue Plantation and various other groups.
David Grant
David Grant has been a lead/harmony vocalist and guitar front man for 30 years. His voice packs the power of Bill Monroe and the soul of Eric Clapton on the slower songs. He has been performing musician in Clemson, Greenville, Charlotte and Charleston.
